About John Carlo Franco

Everything I build today is connected to that mission.

I graduated with a degree in Computer Science from Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Pasig. Like many Filipinos, I started with a dream of creating a better future not only for myself, but for my country.

As I entered the software industry, I began asking a question that continues to guide my work today:

What if the Philippines became known not only for exporting workers, but for exporting technology?

For decades, Overseas Filipino Workers have been one of the biggest contributors to our economy. Their sacrifices have helped millions of Filipino families. But I believe we can create another path for the next generation.

This belief led me to establish MWeeb.

Today, MWeeb develops software solutions for barangays, cities, national agencies, and private organizations. We build systems that improve efficiency, simplify operations, and help organizations serve people better.

But MWeeb is more than a software company.

It is part of a long-term mission.

Every project we complete, every client we serve, and every peso we earn helps fund a bigger vision: building Filipino technology that can compete globally.

My goal is to mature our products in the Philippines, then bring them to the international market. By doing so, we can generate new revenue for the country, create high-value jobs, and contribute to a stronger economy driven by innovation.

Technology has changed the world. I believe Filipinos can help shape that future.

That is also why I founded the Programmers, Developers community.

I have always believed that no single person knows everything. Technology evolves too fast, and growth happens when people are willing to learn from one another. The community was built around a simple principle:

“HINDI LAHAT NG ALAM MO ALAM KO, AT ALAM KO ALAM MO.”

What you know may be something I have never encountered. What I know may help solve a problem you are facing today. When we share knowledge, everyone moves forward faster.

Programmers, Developers was created to give Filipino developers a place to learn, collaborate, ask questions, share experiences, and help one another navigate the IT industry. Whether someone is a student writing their first line of code or an experienced engineer building large-scale systems, everyone has something valuable to contribute.

More than building software, I believe we should build people. Because stronger developers create stronger companies, stronger companies create stronger industries, and stronger industries help build a stronger Philippines.

My hope is that the community inspires the next generation of Filipino innovators to create, lead, and contribute to technologies that will shape our nation's future.

My dream is that one day, when people think of the Philippines, they will not only think of hardworking Filipinos abroad. They will think of:

• Filipino engineers.
• Filipino scientists.
• Filipino innovators.
• Filipino entrepreneurs.
• Filipino technology.

The road ahead is long, but every great achievement starts with a single step.

And this is mine.

If my journey can inspire even one student to build, innovate, and contribute to our country, then the mission is already worth pursuing.
